Yes. Definatly. I'm sure somewhere, someone has given up a power commander after running one, but i haven't heard of it lately. If you do a little searching on it you'll find a lot of posts on the subject.
It's pretty much a yes in everyone's book.
If you can wait a couple months or so, you'll probably come across a good deal on a used one. used run around $200 or so for PCIII series (either pcIIIr or pcIIIusb)...Worked for me, and I love mine. Or just buy new and get the gaurantee and support of a new one
DynoJet has good website support too, whether you buy new or used.

You can also look at the Dobeck Techlusion EFI FI-2055st for $245.
Could make a huge difference to bikes driveability and throttle response.
SP1 had spotty/glitchy fuel delivery with it's 54mm throttle bodies with less injector holes than SP2's 62mm throttle bodies with 12 injector holes.
