2002 rc, runs rough, black exhaust, won't idle

any clue what might be going on with my rc? i only have 1400 miles on it.

did you check the plugs? is there a power commander installed?

bike is completely stock, i did replce the plugs, the plugs were black, running very rich

Is your MAP sensor on top of your air box connected?

Had this problem. Very Frustrating. After spending the time in my garage giving my new purchase a complete tune-up to include PAIR mod flapper MOD complete coolant flush and replace with engine ice and new plugs.... it still had the same issue!!! So I dug into the fuel system and found the fuel pressure regulator to be bad.

Wow, the failing fuel pressure regulator sure pops up a lot.
Just did mine.
Awakuni, you can lift the tank, and pull the small vacuum hose, to see if it's leaking. kind of an easy check.

FYI The MAP sensor is on the throttle body.
The Inlet Air Temp (IAT) sensor is on the airbox top.
