SP1 + D&D Full Exhaust. Thoughts?

Opportunity to pick these up for 200 bucks, full exhaust not sure of the mileage on the cans but the bike had 22k before being parted out. What are your experiences with D&D and would this be a nice chance to take for my 2001?

Honestly, i'd keep saving a look for something better. D&D is a cheaper brand and honestly you get what you pay for. I say save up and buy the Carbon TSR slip ons Simon has for sale on ebay.....i can't believe no one has picked these up yet. RARE.

Not sure I agree with you there. I've seen no real "quality" differences between D&D and most other poppular manufacturers of exhausts on a level of durability. As for the sound produced and output of power gains in modifying there are improvements vast from stock but from this to that, an upgrade is an upgrade. I'm not particular enough to look at stats from a Dyno through a microlense.

I guess I should have added, I don't have 900 to throw around so 200 is more budget to me, perhaps I will get what I paid for... Which is to stop kicking my god damn heels against the stock cans. That, is worth a bright penny to me.

there is a difference between them and other manufacturers. But as you said those differences cost more. If it is a full system it needs to be dyno tuned, which means spending another 300 on a PCIII....if you don't already have one. The bike will not run right without a proper tune on a full system with this bike.
If it's just a change of sound you want then really any system will do. Are they carbon fiber? just curious, if they are i'd be weary as the twins do put more stress on carbon fiber cans and its been noted the D&D carbon fiber does not hold up after putting miles on it.
If not, don't worry about it. I'm sure the bike will sound better and you'll get what you wanted out of em. 200 is a fair deal.

D&D can usually take a pretty good beating... If you are looking for durability then they are probably a decent choice.

I mention them specifically in my exhaust article from years back
