2000 Honda RC51 hard start and runs bad above 5000 RPM's
So recently my RC51 has starting running weird. One day it ran great and I had no issues. The next morning I went out and could not get the bike started the next morning. After about 5 minutes of trying to start with and without choke the battery died. I tried charging the battery and it would not charge so I went and bought a new one. I was able to get the bike started after that (And the FI light went out so seems a loose cable like I have read about in these forums) but it was running very rough at low idle. I took it out for a short ride and noticed that anytime I got over 5000 rpm it would sputter and had no power. It does have a power commander and I took it to my local shop and they removed it and it ran great for 5 minutes and then went back to doing what it did. They think it is electrical but after reading a few posts and talking to a few people some suggestions are Fuel Pressure Regulator or computer. Just trying to save a few $$$ (since I have already put $700 into the bike after buying it 3 weeks ago). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to all.
