Temporary engine cradle.

Hi folks, I was just wondering if anyone on here has ever made a temporary engine cradle to hold the V twin engine so that it can be worked on? I have just purchased a second engine that has been remanufactured but was thinking of checking the valves and shims while it is all out.

Does anyone also happen to know the sizes of the bolts and threads that hold the engine to the bike frame. I need to get some longer ones and fabricate some kind of support onto an a frame that I have lying around.

Thanks in advance.

Three out of four engine mount bolts are 12mm, while one is 10mm.
Most bolts above 8mm are 1.5mm thread.

Thanks Subsailor, that is a big help. I will source bolts accordingly and get something made up. Cheers!
