Rebuilding the engine

Hey everyone, I have embarked on rebuilding the engine in my SP1. I started a thread: https://www.rc51forums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5270 to try and resolve the issue. Having found no common issue we tested the compression cold and then hot, on the aft cylinder the compression didn't come up at all when compared to the forward cylinder. So I've decided to go ahead and pull the engine and rebuild it. I am looking for suggestions for parts. I will have it all apart so I am figuring on looking at my options for upgrades since I will be in there anyway. The bike is a street bike and currently doesn't get to see any track days.

Thanks for your opinions.

Sean

Yeah I figured on the pistons, might have to machine the bore .020 over depending on what I find on the walls and measurements. I haven't had much luck on cams even just some mild stage ones. I found an incomplete set but they were cast and I really don't want to put cast ones in. It doesn't seem like there are a whole lot for upgraded internals................

Any opinions on removing the cam gear silencers while I am in there?

Sean

Anything beyond stage 1 cams will require the HRC valve train parts (seats, inner/outer springs, and retainers).
These parts have been discontinued and are hard to find.
Not cheap either. Will run around $650 for the valve train parts.
The cams will run at least $1400 and up.

I'm running the Wiseco's.
Also did the doubble breather mod (Durbahn) and other stuff.
If you want 150bhk go for the cams, valve and....
Up to 135-140bhk don't bother use the money to tune it.
Induvidual cylinder mapping and you be fine.
