Castrol Recommendations

So I just received a fresh case of Castrol from Amazon and decided I would see what Castrol had to say about their product and the RC51.

They recommended the 10 W 40 Power RS Racing 4T synthetic oil. Okay, great because that is what I bought. I was a bit disturbed to see the intervals for oil changes. 8K on the same oil, I can't see that. It would drive me nuts and the clutch and transmission would be talking to me after 3K miles.

Here is what they recommended....besides, this beats a "What kind of oil should I use" thread.

The piggy runs hot which burns the oil. Things start to go very black after 3k. I'm with you

I put the Barnett kevlar clutch plates in mine, the oil gets dark within about 1000 to 1500 miles. Not black, but almost. I change it at about 3000 miles.
What kind of price did you get on that case?

$43.69 or just over $7.25/quart.

Best part is, I didn't leave the house to get it and was delivered in two days.

Yes, for the prices I'm used to paying locally.
The best deal for quality oil that I know of is 9 or 10 bucks a quart for Mobil-1 synthetic. Before CA sales tax of 8%.

I am curious as to what you consider a good deal on oil

Please reveal your source to buying quality oil afford-ably.
