Wonder what this would be like to thrash on the track

Havin run a vfr400r on the track I cannot help but wonder about this bike.

I bet it would be awesome. I'm really glad KTM is doing the 390, i would love to have one. My buddy had an RC8 that we would trailer out to HPR along with my 675R, That thing was an absolute monster. It really was an excellent bike, way too much bike for my skillset, the 390 would better suit me.

I thought the price was just over 5K

Something like 5,200 but I need to verify. For 5K I would be on it like white on rice.

I looked at the rc1190 for the track but the ones I ride on are 2mile tracks not like 4mile road America so it would be a waste just using 2gears. I also had a 675 but it was the 2006. I like the handling but thought it could use more motor. I would love to see triumph come out with a bigger bore version of that bike.

Bringing this one back. KTM RC 390 coming to the US in 2015. 5500 gets you the RC 390 with WP suspension, Brembo brakes, and ABS....and the bike looks amazing. This is a cool bike for sure and completely affordable, they are all over here in germany.
