Indy Track Modifications

While visiting the museum today to get a restock of MotoGP t-shirts(Reduced price on the A* shirts, $15) I caught a glimpse of this.....the other parts of the track were blocked off. I wanted to see what the plan is for the turns going into the short chute.

They said some crazy Greek kept writing letters to get a bulldozer race series...I guess they finally caved.

Go to IMS's website, shirts and other gear is on closeout.

We, Hellenic people, asked for a bulldozer drifting challenge at Indy....oh well....we're gonna have to settle with this, I guess

That looks like the back end of the track coming out of the bowl and into the final north section , before it hits the main str8 . Last turns B4 the #69 & #4 moto X jump of this years Indy GP . Mad correct me if I am wrong ! Its good they are moving those berms back a bit as well . A few years back a redbull rookie hit the berm coming out of chicane turns 3 and 4 ,front of my section SW Vista , low sided perpendicular to the track and was laying parallel with his bike , the lifted his head up above his tank and the following riders front wheel hit him straight on in the face . Dead @ 15 yrs Was not pretty . All because he hit the berm and his rear wheel jumped as he rolled on the throttle to run up the front into T5 by the museum

Actually the infield section coming off the front stretch (turn two/three area).(South side of the track)

Cape, you have to come back more often to make yourself more familiar with the track layout.

Oh sweet, I'm going for lunch at Union Jacks today right by the track. Think I'll swing buy and pick up some cheap t-shirts. Would have been easier John if you just thought of me and picked some extras up.
