Just moved.....

Hey riders just EAS'd from Camp Pendleton last week, Im living up in northern California, San Jose area for now. Just wondering if anyones interest in a lil get together sometime this summer or if any is interested in riding Mines road in Livermore to San Jo. There are other routes too I'm sure of. Also i would like to say thanks everyone for all the input that we make either helpful or entertaining.

I remember you. Welcome to the land of milk and honey! aka, the land of fruits and nuts.
I'm just up the road a bit from you, Sacramento. There's getting to be a good sized group of us that live in central and northern CA. We definatly should be able to get something organized. I threw up Hwy 36 thread up in the Southwest Forum...

It's funny being back up since I'm native to the bay, I have noticed quiet a few more RC's up here than in SoCal. Actually I only noticed three of them in the San Diego area w/in a 3yr period. I saw three up here just this last week. One thing I do like about being back is that everything is closer now: milk, honey, fruit and those strange nuts lol

Yesterday was a great day for us in Cali. At least up hear it sure was nice and warm 95F weather clear skies and open roads. Well the road I took. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of the route, but a little googling mapping will show you the way I went. I ended up taking Mt. Hamilton rd. (hwy130) in san jose until it turned into Mines rd. in livermore. 2.75 hrs and 99.9 miles later fattest grin every. This route is also one of the most technical roads I've been on. Sharp turns, hair pins, cliffs, small sweepers, cliff, rubble, cliff, few long sweepers, cliff, dips, banks, did I say cliffs, and some hell of a view of the Bay and Valley. I really enjoyed this road especially once you get down the hill and reach Mines, the speeds a little faster and the road just kinda calms down, cattle grate, then here comes the sweepers, coming in left and right. all this kinda stops once you reach the Del Val intersection in livermore. Now, I'm recovering from the ride today....good shit peeps HWY 36 next month!!!!

I will be in town with my bike (as long as I stay on schedule) for that weekend. I plan on riding the Hwy 36 then...you are welcome to come.
