That scares me haha, I've been hearing a lot about RC's value going up recently, Kinda sketchy for me since it may be a few months before I can get one.

Glad they aren't gonna go to the trash, They're pretty close now as cheap as you can typically pick one up for.

That was my point to the guys wanting to buy my bike off me, they didn't think it was a "good enough price", and wanted to knock a fair bit of money off, I just laughed and said "errrrr...no, these bikes are ALL going UP in value, and you guys know it as well as i do, so you either buy it at the price advertised or you go hunting elsewhere for a bike" so away they went empty handed....then i decided i'm keeping it for another bit

But in all fairness i have a performance bikes mag from the month i bought my RC (bout 6 years ago)and it was saying the same, the SP1 is a bke to buy if your planning on keeping as it will hit a point where values will start to rise compared to gixxers and blades of the same year, its only took 5 years for that to happen, but they are starting to go that way now

Apologies its on paper print, I dont have on line access to the article. MCN comes out every wednesday, it will be on shelves for another five days if you can either pick a copy up or ask someone to do so. The article probsbly only refers to prices here in UK, cos the USA prices are much cheaper, which is where I bought mine and imported it when I moved....a definite bargain!!!

in the uk, looking at the current sp2 prices id say they have definitely gone up in value.
5 years ago i sold my sp2 and to have one now in similar mileage and condition id be spending a extra 1500 just to replace it.

Garage
Quick comment on this here in the Midwest. Was getting an appraisal done on the house n contents of the garage. The appraiser asked what I had the RC insured for. I said 8500 n he informed me I needed to raise it to 12k. I called the bank n they told me they would loan 6800 if I needed to. The cover went on and an extra lock on the door lol

2004 RC51 with multipul mods
1985 VF1000R SOLD 😭
