Thumbs up Busy busy forum

Back in late 2012 when I got back into the RC51 scene I checked out this place and SZ. Those two were the busiest for the RC51 and fairly even I thought for post numbers day to day. I concentrated on here because I liked the community more.

Fast forward to now, and wow has this forum ever gotten busy. 10X or more busy than the other. New members pretty much daily too.

Great stuff and congratulations RC51forums.com

This place is always buzzing. But if you want to see big, BARF is fookin huge. Have some buds over there too that I like to keep in touch with every so often. Pretty impersonal at times though. Here's way better (not just saying that), along with sister site Goldwing Owners Forum. Me Irish mates at Global are a fine lot too, that place is the epitome of insane. I started out some years back at MCUSA long before they changed formats, and that was a really fun site, but they started getting spammed and hacked to death so they instituted a new software and format and most everybody left. It's all but a few core members holding the doors open on a daily basis. I've dropped in at SZ just to boo around but never signed up. Most everything I want or learn comes from here and I'm happy with that. JD drops over to GWOF once in a while since he picked up his older Wing, hope we've been able to help him a little on that project. Hmmm, wonder where he's at with that...

I like your style Kwtoxman. Nice thread you started here.
I've been pretty active here for about three years. This community rocks! Seen lots of great members and some not so great ones, but it always seems to stay fresh around here.

As far as SZ- The RC51 sub forum is pretty damn slow, but I will say this - there's some extensive knowledge over there too. The first year I owned my RC51, I found a wealth of info to help me build my bike. But I lurked for almost two years before I finally joined. I have about 50 posts. It's just not my cup of tea.

I'd like to hoist a pint in cheers to SubSailor. He's really one of this forums main forefathers.
We have a few other members who are also super knowledgeable with RC51's. You know it when you read their posts.
Slainte!

I initially signed up for technical info related to my 51. It didnt take long to realize there are some really good folk here!

I personally know of one member who anonymously mailed a gift to another member in need. Without being prompted or any expectation of payment.

I am a forum member on several power sport related sites and this kind of kindness does NOT happen often.

Having met some local forum members last year on the NW ride. I found it to be true...

Thx JD. I agree. SS is great. bbm123 is too. I'll host my 3rd pint, lol. A fountain of info.

And your active presence as well as everyone else's contributions are much appreciated.

Back when the site was fairly new and didn't have too many members, I tried to set a personal standard of helping anyone who needed help or information, without ridicule or belittlement.
And regardless of how many times a question was asked by new members, it got answered.

From what I've seen, that behavior got picked up and ran with, and even though I don't have the free time like I did several years ago, it's good to see that attitude still predominates.
And I believe that's the main reason why people lurk, then later join. They feel comfortable.
I lost the post count last fall, but I did my fair share for a while.

BTW that pint sounds good. I may have one...or two this weekend.

I can't wait for the new "What kind of tire" and What oils should I use" threads coming in or around March when the new batch of "newbies" get here.

This place is a plethora of knowledge....

Oh....and I have drank a pint or so with you folks more than you knowKampai!

It took me 10min to explain to the guy at the DMV that my RC wasn't carbureted and there wasn't a fuel cut-off/reserve lever...and he kept insisting that I was wrong because the bike has a "choke."

This is a great forum with some great members.
