Well hi there

What's up all? I haven't been on here in a bit. Just checked back in and had some stuff in my inbox a month old.
I need to get back here more often; before the update it was a daily visit, at least.

Been in a bit of a slump lately. Working more than I should and just needing to ride, but haven't had the opportunity. I was REALLY looking forward to the RC51 Meet up this summer, but the route was closed due to stupid fires. It was still good to see the other guys out there. The list went from 11 to only 4 showing due to the roads being closed.

Blah blah blah whoas me....
Maybe I just need some coffee and a good day to spend with the bike instead of constaintly doing hunny-dos at home.

Hope all is well here on the forum!

Hey man, we all get the blues once in a while. AS far as riding goes, I think I did just about as much on the track with the RC51 as I did on the highway (Goldwing) this year. Great weather for riding this year but seemed like I was always busy doing something else so I share your pain.
Now it's back into the dojo so I (and the missus) have no real life for the next 7 months, takes all our time running the karate club over and above our real jobs. She's off to Montreal in November with a team of competitors and I stay here at the salt mines. I'm off to Toronto for a Honda meeting on Monday so that will be a marathon trip for 3 days with red-eye flights and such. Thankfully we have Little Cayman and our dive vacation in February so a couple week's reprieve there. with any luck we'll have a decent snow year and we can at least ride the sleds on weekends over the winter.
Going to put both bikes down for their sleep this weekend. On the bright side it's supposed to be nice and warm tomorrow so my last commute on the two wheel couch I guess.

Duct tape can't fix stupid...but it sure helps muffle the sound

Hey Adam,
Yep - I took a break over the summer whilst we were away in Portugal. I didn't have a bike to ride there but only my mum's small 1.3L Honda runabout, so it was best to just forget fast things and enjoy other stuff.

Honey-dos. Yeah, we know that stuff too. Sometimes other stuff like spending time with the kids, or working around the house is just more important.

Last weekend I got to spend most of the time tinkering, since before the summer. I took almost an entire day to clean up the CRM250 and fit a complete set of decals and replace the seal on the oil pump which was leaking and causing all sorts of problems, then fitted new reeds and a few other bits before washing my Husky SM450R and doing a few bits to that. Relaxation.

It's still OK for riding here, so about to head off on the Husky into town to run a few errands and have some fun on the way. Then back to work.

Hoping to do some work on the RC next but only after working on our Hiace camper which recently got back from it's body restoration, much more improvement needed there to make it ready to use this winter for snow boarding camping, etc. The SP needs a weekend on various things to perfect it and fitting of more parts that have been gathering ominously under the dining room table. DHC is sending some scoops for it too soon, lovely stuff.

Carlos is flying in soon so we can attend the Motegi Moto GP, so we can cheer on Rossi. Despite liking Hondas best, we want to support Yamahas riders! Should be great fun as in previous years.

Euro RC51 SP2: HRC WSB Ti Hi-Level, T1 Airbox & Snorkel, PCIII, Dymag CA5 Carbon Wheels, Ti64 Spindles (F, R & Swing Arm), Mori Link, Maxton GP7 Shock & Ohlins 832 Forks, Brembo GP Calipers & SBK narrow track (F), Braketech Disc (R), Brembo billet Underslung x 2 Brembo RCS, Tyga Triple, 7075 Stem, Probolt Titanium all over, Babyface rearsets, MR Complete Carbon Lineup, Custom Undertail & CBR 1000 LED, Watsen LED Indicators, Harris Brace, Giles clip-ons, Corbin seat, etc. 2013 BOTY.

Family is way more important than bike stuff, but it would be nice to get out and do a few hours worth of riding.
I need to get the 71 CB750 back on the road. It died on me going to work one morning.

Should just be cleaning it out, maybe a 30 minute job, but I just havnen't had the time.
I hate riding the RC so much, especially just going back and forth to work. At least once a week I do take a short detour home.

Between work, family, and volunteering at church (not in that order) I haven't had much 'me' time.
That's okay for a bit, but I feel like it is starting to catch up.
@budoka be safe on your trip! Sounds like fun all though busy! I do enjoy flying.
@The Stig We have talked about buying a camper to go out. I told my wife this morning I am planning a possible camping trip with some guys at work. She is a bit jealous; she loves going camping. We did several camping trips this summer. Highlight was just the two of us with no kids and took a few days to just go with no plans, the dogs, and our tent. We'll have to do it again without the dogs.
