Need a little help with blinker wires.

Hey guys i purchased an RC51 last fall that had several things cobbled together poorly. One was the addition of running lights and flush mount wires. In any event the owner cut the wire harness not the blinker wires. Im trying to mount new flush mounts and am not real keen with the electrical set up on the front of this thing.

Each blinker has three wires;

Blinker 1 - Orange, Orange stripe and a green.

Blinker 2- Blue, blue with stripe and a green.

I have winkers with no running light application, just regular winkers.

Can anyone identify the ground wire color and the winker color for me.

Thanks.

OH yea, i love this bike coming of inline 4's its fun as heck.

Okay problem not as easy to solve as I expected...for me at least. Aftermarket front winkers are led and have 2 wires. A red and a white. I assume red is pos and white neg. I attempted to hook the white to green on each side and the red to the solid orange and baby blue on each side. No luck. I tried to flip the red and white with no luck. I tried the stripe wire instead and only go running lights. Only way I can get it to function proper is to link the solid wire and stripe wire together and then hook that to the red and the green to the white..........blinkers work proper but it instantly pops my fuse for the guages. Wth. Help ahahahah what in the world do I need to do to get this phugger done right.

If your front blinkers only have two wires, then forget about the running lights and only use the signal and ground wires.
Since they're LED (a glorified diode), you could use a meter with diode tester or continuity setting to check which wire is ground. The LED will either be forward or reversed biased.
Or, you could use your battery instead of the meter.

BTW I can relate to the wiring issues. The previous owner of my bikes utterly butchered the wiring harnesses installing cheap-ass front flush mounts and a hotbodies undertail.
I had to replace all wiring harnesses, undertail, rear fender, front & rear blinkers, etc., to do the job right.
