Triple clamp polishing

For those who are picky on the way things look, as I am - The OEM cast aluminum lower triples are a little bit of an eye sore with the casting lines left in place.

So, as I not long ago installed a set of billet triples on my project and gifted my OEM SP1 triples to my close friend The Stig - I decided to " upgrade " the gift as it is the first time I will be sending my friend a package and want it to be something special, plus it will look SOOOO much better when mounted up to his VFR when he completes the RC51 front end swap.

Some progress pictures of before and during the removal of the casting lines.
I will post many more pictures as I go.

Few more pics, before starting the backside, then switch bits to a ball tip and do all the little fine details before going to stage 1 metal polish.

Bro, you're nuts, or the mutt's nuts!

You don't need to be doing this you know.... Even my SP2 lower with newly fitted Al 7075 stem to be used with Ohlins forks isn't destined to be getting any such preparation. Speechless!

Euro RC51 SP2: HRC WSB Ti Hi-Level, T1 Airbox & Snorkel, PCIII, Dymag CA5 Carbon Wheels, Ti64 Spindles (F, R & Swing Arm), Mori Link, Maxton GP7 Shock & Ohlins 832 Forks, Brembo GP Calipers & SBK narrow track (F), Braketech Disc (R), Brembo billet Underslung x 2 Brembo RCS, Tyga Triple, 7075 Stem, Probolt Titanium all over, Babyface rearsets, MR Complete Carbon Lineup, Custom Undertail & CBR 1000 LED, Watsen LED Indicators, Harris Brace, Giles clip-ons, Corbin seat, etc. 2013 BOTY.

I already told you, bro - If I can, I will. Nobody knows better then to argue with me already.

I get the feeling, you will see this when you crack open the box - and be sending me the sp2 lower triple to polish up in preparation for carrying the " the original gold " of the Ohlins your soon to mount.

The offer is there, anyways.

No cabin fever... just mod-it-titus fever

No seriously, Stig has done a lot for me " off the mic " so to say... and it is just a little bit of appreciation shown is all.
Never asked for or expected... the beauty of a gift.

Some say he surfs Niagara falls and that his family have webbed feet....Some say they've seen him fly....

All we know is - He's the duck!
