Modify Stock Exhaust

So... I like the look of the stock exhaust but I am not a fan of the sound. I am looking to get a little meaner sound and keep the stock look. Has anyone here removed the stock baffles that may have some insight?

Any loss in power that you can tell from the "Butt-Dyno"? is it noticeably louder at idle, too?

Butt dyno thinks it's better. And it revs more freely.

MUCHO louder at idle....sounds so good, deep and bassy.

wow, that's exactly what i am looking to do! Was it decently easy? i am assuming you just popped the end of the cans off, measured a like-amount on each, lopped them off with a Dremel (or similar rotary tool) and popped the ends back on? I'm sure its more complicated than that and that's the part i am looking to hear about.

The ends can't be popped off. They are welded together. So you have to cut and reweld them.

Crap, well there goes that idea. I'm an accountant by trade so welding doesn't pan out so well for me. Guess I'll keep trolling craigslist for a set of Sato's.
