Custom Undertail Project

Well I've decided to get it done. Not only is it really tight in there, but with the custom Sato exhaust (close to Banzai mount) I'll be putting on in the spring (hopefully), my current undertail will not work. I plan to relocate my ECU with the battery and basically give me as much trunk space as possible. I will try to keep as much of the inside stock as possible, with some relocations here and there.
The tail lights I have, I'll keep. I like the way the lights illuminate (circles) but the light covers themselves are square, so I'll fabricate my undertail around them.

License plate bracket is definitely going to be fixed.

Question, so on the SP2, the ECU is beside or on the battery?

Seems like it would have to be on the side. I've looked on drawings, but it's hard to tell.
Anyone have a picture it there, or mind taking one, of set up?

The ecu is vertical next to the negative side of battery.
Look at the hot bodies under tail you can see were it was molded around where the ecu is at

best pic i have right now

Awesome. Thanks guys.
Good grief, that wiring is clean!!

I may have to order some SP2 parts just for the battery and ECU housing.
I prefer to keep as much SP1 as possible. I'll eventually have an SP2 anyway.

Little update. I haven't had a lot of time to work but I got a tad bit done today.

I cut out this peice to give me a bit more room in there.
I left the mounts so it will still attach to the subframe.

ECU probably would be stood up like that.
I'm thinking I want to drop the batter down an inch or so and put it on top.
Not sure yet...

Under view

I have a lot of clean up to do with the wiring.

Showing the undertail still holds onto the subframe.
