Aprilia rsv sato exhaust

Might be all wet here, but this morning I came across a web site that is selling new Sato titanium exhaust for an Aprilia RSV. Can these be fitted onto SP2 with something like a Lady Bird mid pipe?

You would have to check the inlet ID, Ladybird mids are 60mm. However, there are a few members selling Satos...so why not buy a set of Satos made for the RC?

As long as you have the right mid pipes any can or muffler can be made to work.

Hell if you wanted to you could even make a set of glass packs or Flow Masters work. There's photo shopped pictures of this on zilla.

No, the pipes run different. Even if they fit the outlets on the motor, your biggest issue is going to be the pipe running through the swingarm and shock....its already a very tight fit with an RC specific pipe and now you would be trying to run a pipe design for a completely different bike.

If the mids were RC specific, wouldn't that solve the fitment issue?

Either way, $900 for an exhaust that isn't RC specific is not a good idea. For that money you can almost get a new set of Ladybirds, or a great set of used pipes from some of our members (used Satos that actually fit).

RossC51 I have a used set of Sato low mount mids that have been repaired and would be able to run right now, but they are missing the round stopper ring around the exit. I have some left over titanium sleeve material that I could throw in with whoever picked these up.

You take the material and have a qualified welder tack it on and you're good to go. I would let them go at a good price but if I had them repaired even further I will ask a lot more, as they stand they will run and would be perfect for a track bike.

As a matter of fact I would recommend these for a track bike as the bike will get thrown down the road...that is pretty much a given.

These definitely FIT the RC well SP2's at least...
