Front mounted rads install help

Just wanted to see if anyone could give me a bit of advise. I'm doing the install on a SP1

Specifically where the one inch rad hose comes out from the thermostat housing to the left of the bike through the frame just above the water pump. I tried using the original piece of 1" hose, the one with the 45 degree bend in it connected to the 60mm connection piece and then connected to the 90 degree Samco hose elbow.

It works ok, but there is a bit of flex in the Samco hose as it goes under the frame.

I thought I should ask if anyone had the same issue, and found a way around it.

The simple answer would be to order a 1" flexible piece from Samco, but the last order took nearly 8 months, no fault to Samco, so I'm hoping someone has another idea.

Also, do I need to provide any thermal protection to the Samco hose as it moves through the frame?

Thanks for any advise!

I haven't installed mine yet, so I haven't reached that bridge yet.
You're following the install instructions?

I am, and it almost seems like, and this only a guess, that the space above the water pump and between the frame is larger on the SP2 compared to the SP1. If you look at your installation guide sub, the top two photos on the right side of page 2 give me that impression. It looks almost like a guy could fit his hand through that hole. On mine, the 1" hose just fits through.

I'm in the garage with my wife's Ipad, so if I come up with anything, or anyone has even a thought that I can try, let me know.

To be honest Sub, the front mount kit went together so easily it was almost scary, just an incredible job. I was in the parts shop this morning getting AN6 oil lines and the oil cooler alone was attracting attention. It's just art, hats off to Jimmy!

All I can say is, while I pat my dog, I love this stuff!

Post some pictures of your setup. Mine didn't have anything on the left hand side. Probably a different kit than what you have?

I'm always right.

That appears to be the case.
It seems the SP1 engine mount intrudes more forward along the frame spar than the SP2 engine mount.
Here's photo of my SP2 on right side with Samco hoses and OEM radiator.
Tons of space compared to your photo.

It's ok to say I have space envy isn't it?

I'm going to try using some rad hose couplers and a couple 90 degree hoses to try and line things up a bit...sadly the part shops around here don't have anything, but the guys are always helpful
