ok...Sorry about the long wait, but I just got off the phone with Mike Velasco.

The specs on your stock RC51 (SP1) are:

Intake: 400 thousandths, 250 degree duration,
Exhaust: 400 thousandths, 250 degree duration.

(I think this is right, apologize if it isn't)

Now, for the cams that are being made up for my bike. The specs are as follows.

Intake: 470 thousandths lift (11.94mm), 274 degree duration,
Exhaust: 420 thousandths lift (10.668mm), 258 degree duration.

*option 2, for Intake: 495 thousandths lift (12.573mm) 282 degree duration

The cams will be Billet Cams, and will have adjustable cam gears to allow the user to dial them in perfectly. They are basically the HRC cam. Mike used the exact grind out at Daytona back in the day and his bike (RC51) was holding it's own with the factory bikes. The cams will not be pressed into you stock gears. Three bolts will hold the adjustable gears.

Right now we have three (3) sets ordered, this does not include anyone that I spoke to on this site. The price if I can get three (3) more sets ordered will be max $1600.00, but will most likely be a couple hundred less for the set, but don't count on it. A $1000 deposit will be required, and I will put you directly in touch with Mike for that if you are interested.(PM me)

They made up ten sets a couple of years ago, and they were all gone in 2 weeks....the timeline for this order is now to very soon.

I have HRC springs, but Mike is also looking into having some coiled up if anyone is interest, cost, and if it will happen is unknown, but he is trying to source out options for people....if anyone has a bead on springs, that would be great for those wanting to do this.

Any other questions, or if I missed an important detail, please let me know.

Thanks again,

Chris

Also,

I tried creating a New Thread over on Speedzilla to let everyone on that site know about this thread and buy. But I'm a new member on Speedzilla and I don't have permission to create new threads. Would anyone here like to create a thread, linking this one to it, so that we can help others get in on this if they want.

It looks like from all the reading I have been doing, that a lot of people on both forums want a good source for billet cams, and haven't been able to find anything.

If someone opens a thread over there, can they post up here that it was done, I'd hate to have the order go ahead and there are more people that wanted in.

Thanks a lot.

gts455, you mentioned you were having some titanium retainers made for the HRC kit valvetrain. Is it to late to get in on those? and what was the cost? I may be in need.

ok cool....i would be interested in the cams. i have a full HRC valvetrain. Damon Stewart had kimblewhite make some retainers for me. i bought 26 pieces which is 3 sets of 8 and 2 extras. they cost me about 22 per retainer.....all cost me about 600 total. It was a huge process getting these made, but i can ask Damon if he got extra or would be willing to have more made.

Chris, thanks for following up and making this available to everyone.

Few questions:
1) Do you know what the lift is on the cams? I assume we're talking north of 11/12mm?

2) Because of the potential lift increase, these will not work on stock lower end (slugs)?

3) The heads should be ported/polished by someone who knows what they are doing (to maximize the increased air these are pumping)?

I'm in for a set.
Have had the HRC valvetrain parts and Kibblewhite Ti retainers sitting in a box for this occasion.
PM me with the details please.
I didn't see mention of lift for these cams?

You confused me. You said slugs and I thought you meant Harleys.
