Handlebar weights

Been thinking about getting something different for my grips and weights, but I see there is a steel bar in the OEM set up. How important is that? Anyone use just end weights and vibration reduction?

If your RC51 doesn't bring you to your knees, you are not a righteous man...lol.

Any options less than oem will cause more vibration (and there are variety of different options). This includes using just bar end weights and people have tried and used them. For street with a v twin, I like a clip-on including oem internal and bar end weights. YMMV

I wanted to get this nailed down as I am planning to do quite a bit of riding as soon as the weather stays nicer. One of my bar ends has the end part missing. Looks like it is just plastic. Some nice red aluminium ones would look nice.

There are pressure fit aftermarket bar ends instead of the OEM bolt in style. The pressure fit design needs to be watched and kept tight as they can loosen (or shift) and fall off.

Does the stock setup damp out vibration at all frequencies?
It is a long time since mine was standard, but with lightweight clipons with no damper the vibration is only bad at particular revs / frequencies, don't ask me what they are because i haven't ridden lots of highway miles for a couple of years.
My point being that depending on gearing and revs even with no dampers you may not suffer the tingles too much ( and save a ton of weight in the process)

I run the delrin end weights, they've served me very well thru 2 crashes and zero issues with tingly hands.

Hell mine are hollow and no real discernible vibration not like my last inline 4.
