sp2 engine with sp1 swingarm?

Hi guys.

Tried using the search for this and it did not come up with my case. Let me explain, I'm building a rc51 with a 2001 frame currently at home, with that being said I plan on buying a sp2 engine. The question I present now is I have looked on eBay for a sp2 swingarm and there are none on there. Will a sp1 swingarm fit? Or if you guys have a sp2 swingarm for sale can you swing one my way. Any info is appreciated thanks guys.

SP2 engine will fit into an SP1 frame.
Just remove the spacer for the swingarm pivot bolt for use with the SP1 swingarm.
The SP2 swingarm used a smaller diameter pivot bolt, and Honda inserted a spacer into the rear swingarm mount of the engine to make up the difference.

sbkdrew is our forum swingarm guy! He has extensive experience with them.

Here's page 4 of a thread he started about swingers for sale.

Sp1 swinger on the way!

News is looking good. The Sp1 swinger is on its way. Yes I said Sp1 but my dad bought it and at $86 shipped he thought it was good. Now from my research and you guys stating the Sp1 didn't have a place to mount spools i think mine does. When it comes in I will try to post pics to get more info. Also how many post is it to be able to post pics again thanks guys.

The SP1s were kinda 50/50 on having the spools.
After a few years, the general consensus was that the 2000 model year SP1s had them and the 2001s did not....go figure.

Lucky me?

Maybe I'll just get lucky and have one that is blessed by the gods and will be able to mount spools lol. Like I said I will post pics when it comes in. It should be here tomorrow. So I'll try then and I make a build thread even though it will be a long one. Thanks again.
