Track upper to enduro headlights

I'm thinking about going with the enduro style headlights for the fairings I have been preparing for the track, that way they can do double duty and I can pretend that I have two bikes

I have already filled in the OEM headlight openings with 3M 5887 Automix EZ Sand Flexible Parts Repair And I was thinking to graft in some PVC pipe for the round headlights.
Here is where I'm at

How would you recommend doing it?

Thanks in advanced,
James

Any picts of the headlight you wanna put on the cowl?

I suppose they will do the job of enlightening your path, but aesthetically wise? How is it gonna look?

DO IT!!! I did this on my 1000rr and loved the final product. I used the two 2" yoyodyne headlights. They came with tubes to install them and just glassed them to the upper.

Unless I can find a set that has a lens that matches the curve of the upper. I'm probably going to with something like the fog lights out of the new Camaro, just a round dome lens that's recessed from the upper. Maybe HID with proper projectors.

My thoughts are, once I figure out a solid way of mounting, I can make any light work.

I like but that price

But, this is along the lines of what I'm thinking.

I would love to replicate this, but have one on both sides for the street.

Looks good Peter.

I'm just going to wait for Duckhunter to make full endurance fairings in carbon kevlar. I took a LOT of pictures of the Cabin bike at the Honda museum at Motegi last year, so he could model the light on that...

I'd only want one head light, with high & low beam inside, which could if necessary be HID H4 (2 filament), so the replica paintwork would go hand in hand with the endurance fairing...

Might be worth waiting for the Duck!

Euro RC51 SP2: HRC WSB Ti Hi-Level, T1 Airbox & Snorkel, PCIII, Dymag CA5 Carbon Wheels, Ti64 Spindles (F, R & Swing Arm), Mori Link, Maxton GP7 Shock & Ohlins 832 Forks, Brembo GP Calipers & SBK narrow track (F), Braketech Disc (R), Brembo billet Underslung x 2 Brembo RCS, Tyga Triple, 7075 Stem, Probolt Titanium all over, Babyface rearsets, MR Complete Carbon Lineup, Custom Undertail & CBR 1000 LED, Watsen LED Indicators, Harris Brace, Giles clip-ons, Corbin seat, etc. 2013 BOTY.

After i get my next two cafe's done, I'm going to do a single dual beam headlight for my rc. It will probably use a cbr250 headlight. you can get them off ebay for not two bad. I have seen them done like speter1's. His setup looks amazing! Cleverwolf was big on endurance uppers but shipping is crazy from japan. I was trying to buy just the headlight and lens but havn't had any luck. Keep us posted if you do your own as I love seeing these setups!

I'll keep this updated, I'm going to start tooling on this over the winter months.

Peter, nice work man.

Stig,
I'm sure it would be well worth waiting for the Duck, but then I'd be in the same position I am now. I have less than $600 into the fairings I have now, including the tank. If I spend a bunch of money on a fairing set from Duckie, I won't want to track it. I only want to spend what I can lose. But I'm sure his work will look a lot better than mine.
