longer kick stand

Do you guys know how much to extend the kickstand to accommodate a Mori link and 190/55 series tire for my SP1?

John , what I did was scribe a str8 line down so that the foot could be welded at the same angle , with a silver sharpe . Had a welder cut it 1" above the foot and add a 3/4 " piece of a zinc carriage bolt that I purchased at a hardware store . A 3/4" X 6" bolt and used the non threaded space part up on the shank . He did it for $40 . Painted it and never looked back . Still have the micro switch that cuts out the motor with the stand down

Thanks Codder! That's exactly what I had intended. I sent a PM to Wingnutt to ask him about doing it for me, but I hate to bother him for something I could so easily do myself.

So you're happy with 3/4 inch? Do you have the same set-up as me with the link and 55 tire?

Ya same set up , 5/8" - 3/4" would be the range . I do have the Mori link and had the 55 . I just went down to the 50 in the Dunlop Q3 because the Dunlops profile is a bit taller than the Michlin PP 2cts 190/55 . I had a brand new Dunlop 190/55 on the new CZ rim but it was rubbing my hugger so I had to drop it down to a 50 . I didn't have that issue with the 2cts in a 190/55

I had one of Scott's adjustable side stands and used the switch with no problems.

I have yet to install mine as the house and school eat up my time. Would you post up some pictures and some detail? (Maybe in another thread so we do not sully jd9's any more)

I'm going to keep it simple, not spending much on this one. I'm just going to weld a piece in.
