Tail light wiring diagram needed....

I'm sure this is on here some where but I can't find it. Does anyone have a tail light wiring diagram? I have an aftermarket LED tail light that I'm not sure on the wiring. I don't want to cut my stock connectors if I do t have to. Thanks. I think I found all I need minus the brake light wires. Just want to make sure though. Thanks in advance.

You would be correct

2001 SP1 (sold)
2004 SP2 (properly stored)
2012 Ruckus (stolen)
2015 Grom (under construction)

Weyrauch pronounced (Y Rock)...Rock for short.

So there are two harnesses, 1 for each brake/tail light. Do I need to use the green/yellow wire from each? Splice them to my new wiring? Coming from my new light is a yellow(guessing brake) black(ground) and red(power). So bother brake light wired need to go to the yellow?

What under tail do you have?
Better yet, post pictures of what you have.

I've never seen the back side of one of these, but I'm going to guess that it hooks up to both sides. Black/ground, red/brake, yellow/running

Actually the specific tail light has
1) Green (ground)
2) Red (running)
3) Black (brake)
4) 2 yellow wires for the embedded blinkers

I have the same one. However I may confuse the Red and Black on their function cause it's over a year since i installed it.

You just hook the Green up to the chassis and touch the Red and Black, one at a time to the battery's positive terminal. The brighter one is for the brakes.

I have isolated the blinkers cause I love my Fireblade OEM ones

The great Makis has spoken.
I was just guessing and he is one of the few I'd follow without question, when it comes to the RC51. I would say go with his advice over mine.

Even though I would probably end up doing what he suggested if I was hooking up that light.

Thanks for the vote of confidence James...appreciate it.

Nevertheless, now I have to back that confidence up....

I'll go to my RC's lair and take some pictures on the wires.

The mounting of that tail light is same like the OEM so no problems there

I'll be back in a minute
