Winter Project I can't wait for Summer!

A couple months ago I decided to attempt a paint job on my RC. The bike had been laid down by the guy I bought her from so there was some pretty good cracks and pavement grinding going on and that's my motivation for painting! He also hacked off the under tail so I also just bought a new undertail a "Kazy Kustoms" unpainted. I have painted a big old 58 chevy flat black before( seen in my avatar picture) That was alot of body work!, and thats all the experience I have. So far I have managed to repair my cracks and I just have to do some finishing touches to my repairs. I am getting all my advice I can from the painter at my job. There is a body shop at the Chrysler dealer I work at. I've gathered up all the paint materals and they are waiting in my basement . I am just waited for it to be warm enough to be able to paint out in my garage. Well I wanted to share some pic's of what I have got going on.

The first pic is my seat cowl what I decided to test out my spraying skills on and see what the color looks like. I picked a lighter silver color its a Chrysler color that is on Challengers, Billet Metalic. On top of that color I sprayed a green pearl. It is hard to see in the pic but there is a health amount of green pearl on there. I plan on spraying my number plates white with a 1/8" black edge pin stripe instead of the flat black the bike had its a 2000.

Then I've got pics' of the tape work graphics I bought. I'm doing the big wings in flat black, the gas tank logo black with a kawasaki green edge, and as you see in the pic's some of the other loges are kawasaki green with a black edge I am pretty happy with the tape works graphics Now lets just see if I can get them on with out screwing them up! Yea I know "kawasaki green" I wanted a Bright green!

Thanks! Yea its cleared, everything looks better with clear on it!

Yea my first painting project, the 58 Chevy its paint was a black base with a PPG Flex n flat Clear coat. Everyone would always ask me what color I was going to paint it cause they thought it was primer! I ended up putting a small sticker in the corner of the windshield that read "Flat Black is a color"
