Anybody have the suzuka tail lights?

I really like the suzuka flush tail lights. I know they're pretty much nonexistant now, has anyone ever replicated them or found good tail lights they flush mounted into the tail?

I know the race lights didn't have signals, but...
If someone decided to manufacture a carbon-fiber rear cowl with these design of tail/signal lights integrated, I'd be all over that. (hello Tyga boys!)

I've looked into making some myself. It really wouldn't be difficult if you have ever done any plastic work and are good at making molds. I would probably use a clear polyurethane for the actual housing. The led boards are relitavely simple, but there is another plastic piece that they sit in, and potting compound around them. Not difficult, but just another plastic part to mold/make. The reflective part on the inside just looks like a piece of polished aluminum to me.

The problem is that just getting everything set up to do it and getting the materials is about $400-$500 if you don't have it already. And that doesn't include the led's or plugs or wiring. I might do it someday, but that is a lot of money for some fancy tail-lights.

Mondial over on the speedzilla forum has them and also tried making some similar. If you look here you can see both. http://hrcspw.zoomshare.com/1.shtml

What I would like to see is him turn them lights over to have them replicated and then a group buy!

You may want to have a closer look at these.

Hope this wets your appetite a little more.
