Swingarm paint code

Hi guys
Can anyone help please, I am about to do the SP2 swingarm into SP1 frame conversion and the swingarm I have bought is currently black. I am looking to getting it powder coated as close to the SP2 aluminium/silver colour as possible and wondered if anyone has done this and could suggest a good RAL paint code to use?
Cheers

Here's a thread that discusses the silver paint on Euro model SP1/SP2 bikes. Maybe contact Makis and see where he is at on his swing arm.

I've just finished my swingarm, I stripped off the powder coat and rubbed the bare aluminium down the grades of paper / scotch then lacquered. Some small wire brushes are handy for the welds, oh and lots of patience!

Few pics of it here but don't really do it justice, much better in good light:

That's exactly the look i'm after and I have considered the lacquer route but I was a bit concerned about it coming off with stone chips etc. Do you think it'll be ok? I suppose you have keyed the ally well.

I wouldn't like to say yet but adhesion shouldn't be an issue with it being prepped the way it has. My painter friend has put it on fairly thin too, so it doesn't chip as easily.

It has turned out just as I'd hoped so far though, was worried all those hours rubbing it down would be wasted when the lacquer went on! If I did it again I'd maybe add some matting agent to get more of a bare metal look.

As its going to be a few months before I do anything while I let my funds replenish I might follow your thread and see how it turns out if you can keep us informed that would be great.
Bike looks great by the way, shame the PO didn't leave the harris cans on it tho, love them
Cheers
