Smile SP1 Brake Mod

I would to up-grade the my standard SP1 front brake calipers; Brembo's are cost prohibitive at the moment but I have been told that the Suzuki GSXR1000 K1-K2 will be a direct swop. Please can some one advise me is this correct or are there are further modification required to the caliper mount. Thanks in advance...... Ashwood

I agree ^^

If you want to upgrade axial calipers go sp2. Beyond that, the RC51 is known to have generally the best oem axial brake setup going (barring the ultra exotic limited run euro bikes of that era with brembo superbike caliper specs).

IMO, there is no benefit either from going radial unless spendy on higher end brembo calipers or convert to a true radial bracket (and bottom leg) and at least high end oem radial calipers.

Thanks for the info, every body has told me how good the the OE calipers are so I have just overhauled the OE calipers and will just put a decent pads in.
