Question on front Radial Calipers

Going to be making the conversion and I can go with a 100 or 108 MM calipers due to having a choice on the fork bottoms. Question is pros and cons for either. What are most of you guys running and why? Going to be going with Brembo calipers.

Thanks...

which brembos?

100mm brembo are easier to find used as they came oem on a ton of bikes (rsv4, rc8r, 1098, etc), these would be the oem M4 calipers, which are quite good.

if you are going to be buying a pair of billets, it doesn't really matter. the 108s may sell better on the used market though.

don't do the conversion unless you're going to be buying good calipers though. brembo makes a lot of mediocre stuff too

Those are the same calipers I'm using, they work very nicely. Mine are 100mm mount though.

I can do either 100 or 108. Getting new radial fork bottoms I'm mounting on the foks I bought from you. Getting 30mm ohlins guts put in them too.

Thanks but I'm a dealer for Brembo so I get a good deal and before anyone gives me crap that I should know this info I mainly do the ordering and financial stuff. My partner does most of the technical specs for the parts we order but he's mainly a R1 guy.

Thanks for the info Wibbly... helps me decide.

The only difference between the 100 and 108 for the calipers is the 108 have a separate bleed nipple whereas the 100s have a bleeder banjo. It's down to real estate to fit it all.

The 100s may be an easier sale if you ever change your mind as they'll fit all the Italian stuff.
