Hey all...I finally found an RC and the "accounting department" tells me to sell one bike, before I drag another home
So I have a 2002 954RR for sale...
Currently on a set of worn Pilot Sports, but
Brand new BT106 tires go with her
Scotts steering damper also installed
Friction cruise control with thumb lock
Puig tinted screen
Small Tank guard
Gel seat for the long rides
New battery 2 years ago
May throw battery minder in with deal
D&D carbon fiber pipe, kinda loud but what isnt?
Heated grips are there, but disconnected
15/41 gearing, with new chain on order
Red Joe Rocket tank bag goes with it too
Gone thru by local dealer last year with a clean bill of health.
Why the cheap price? Well, I picked her up with exactly 45,361 on her but the entire dash was frozen. Part of the deal when I bought her was to replace it, but I failed to get "resetting the new speedo to current mileage" into the contract, and the shop went out of business before I could get them to fix it. Long story short, she ended up with a "mileage does not match actual" on the title.
I have had this one for almost 5 years and I have personally put 23,827 miles on the zero mileage speedo. That plus the original puts her at 69,188 total miles. I have ridden her all up and down the west coast from LA to Seattle and all points in between. Would not hesitate to jump on and do 12 hours, matter of fact, have literally done exactly that a dozen times when moving up here from Sacramento...
I also rode her on the latest Northwest RC51 cruise from right here on this board (13 hours roundtrip) so some of the locals may be willing to vouch for her...
Tell your friends, tell your neighbors. Would make a fun track bike, but if I have two bikes the wife wants her own...and a CBR aint it
