Maybe i'm wrong....I heard, the quality of a helmet is only good for about 5-6 years.

that is really a matter of opinion, i have Corsair 5 new in box. though its a few years old i still believe it to be new and as good as the day i bought it. as long as its properly stored and looked after i think the date thing is really a superstition

Many race and trackday organizations wont let you ride with a helmet thats older than 5 years old. They do degrade with age, it is definitely not superstition. The internal shell will become brittle with age, although keeping it in a climate controlled environment MAY slow this aging, it does not prevent it.

the five-year replacement recommendation is based on a consensus by both helmet manufacturers and the Snell Foundation. Glues, resins and other materials used in helmet production can affect liner materials. Hair oils, body fluids and cosmetics, as well as normal "wear and tear" all contribute to helmet degradation. Petroleum based products present in cleaners, paints, fuels and other commonly encountered materials may also degrade materials used in many helmets possibly degrading performance. Additionally, experience indicates there will be a noticeable improvement in the protective characteristic of helmets over a five-year period due to advances in materials, designs, production methods and the standards. Thus, the recommendation for five-year helmet replacement is a judgment call stemming from a prudent safety philosophy.

from that website

it seems all potential issues stem for helmet that have been used(cleaners, sunlight, greasy hair etc),but since this one has not maybe no issues,
but no problem!
best if it stays in my hands maybe

It's a beautiful helmet, I don't mean to say anything negative about it. There are many collectors and other enthusiasts that would definitely enjoy it! It still serves a purpose to protect head, neck and skin, as well! I was just blurting out my thoughts!! Sorry for trolling your post =)
