In search of fuel tank

Hey guys, I'm in dire need of a fuel tank for my SP1. If you have one or can find one let me know please. I do hope this won't break the bank also.

tanks from any year will work, but the graphics may not line up or be a different colour altogether depending on the year of the donor bike.

Those clean tanks on ebay right now are too expensive imo. A brand new one is $650 with free shipping or less depending on MY. Used tanks that are over 12 years old should be notably less, even if relatively clean. I'd not go over $400 used for the most expensive 04 MY tank, and something like not over $325 for other MYs.

It is always a good time to upgrade !

ETI CF/Kevlar Endurance Fuel cell.

More fuel capacity and lighter weight !
Combined with a DHC C/F tail section it looks sweet too.

I have 3 extra tanks for the SP1 RC51. I also have a ton of other motorcycle crap I've collected over 10 years of racing and 30 years of riding that I have to get rid of. But, not having the temperament or patience for ebay and/or craig's list, it all sits in my garage being useless.

One tank is a non-leaking bashed up track-day, keep-my-good-stuff-home tank painted red.
One tank is a 2000 castrol honda replica (like in my avatar picture) all good except for a handlebar ding acquired from a neighboring bike that got loose during transport.
One tank is stock (I think, I'll have to give it a good look over) but I was told to keep it and a full complement of stock stuff to have one SP1 a better value to collectors. (Not sure if I care about that).

Pay shipping or come get it and you can have the bashed up but non-leaking tank.

In case it matters, I'm Kent Larson from Minnesota. I was a CRA, CCS, FUSA racer from 1994 to 2004. Worked NESBA as a control rider/instructor for a few years. Wrote "Motorcycle Track Day Handbook" with a few friends contributing (See "https://books.google.com/books?id=gg1LM967OhMC&printsec=frontcover&source=g bs_vpt_reviews#v=onepage&q&f=false" -- I'll give you a copy if you shake my hand and ask nice for one).

Someone come over and haul off all my extra motorcycle stuff, eh? 50/50 partners. You do all the work, I'll provide the inventory.

Later,
Kent Larson

I have one that will be available if it doesnt go with the bike. OEM, no leaks, good shape, just needs paint (painted black). Email me at [email protected] if interested. Price will be more than reasonable.
