I am so in!! I like the look of the rounded ones in the first picture. I have been on the fence for a while about whether or not to run two tall stock units or two short units. Based on my increase in displacment and the stage 3 cams I am thinking that I would be better off running two short stacks. Do you by chance have the specs of the stock short sp2 stack? I will search on here as I remember a thread with specs on it

Don't know about the short stack, long ones for SP2 are 45mm I think.

A few members have asked about short stacks. I started making stacks for SP1 and SP2 of the same length (+/- 48mm). I have never seen evidence that two short stacks give a significant (!) increase in top end power. However on RC51.org Mike did back-to-back runs with 2 short stacks and found no increase on top and a loss of midrange... So I decided to go for a compromise: SP1 oem stacks are 35 and 65mm (48 is about halfway) and for the SP2 the longest oem stack is 45mm and mine are e few mm longer but the SP2 already has the bigger throttle bodies for top end power... So I went for what should give a good spread of power on both SP1 and SP2.

SP1:PVM mag.,full Akra,Durbahn airbox,T1 G2 snorkel,SpeedCell,SP2 swing+mod. subfr.+engine cover,WP susp. +TiN,endur. fairing VFR400 headlight,KYA fronts, Setrab oilcooler,MR clipons,flowed throttlebod.,lightened flywheel, Moriwaki rests, Delrin stacks,BKG triple clamps,PC II,Ti bolts, qr seat+tank,Durbahn/ISR rear brake,Durbahn CCC,AFAM 15-41, DID520,CBR600RR coils,50310 fan switch,mod. wire harness,HRC overflow,Extreme Graphics undertray,Harris fairing stay.

Roger Ditchfield passed along the following info:

"stacks are a good idea. You can use the standard configuration of 1 x short + 1 x long and this will help the bike generally. You can use 2 x short and this will help but mainly at the top end and is commonly used by racers or finally you can use 2 x long and this will favour the low and mid range. This format is generally used by street guys.

I hope this helps in your deliberations,

Regards

Roger"
