Why am I selling? I started to send it out for service this past winter so it could be as good as my new Kyle forks, but Kyle doesn't service Penske, so while I was on the phone with LDH I decided to buy the Ohlins w/ Kyle link and just be done with it in one (expensive) step. But I can still recall how amazed I was when I shitcanned the awful OEM shock in 2008 and installed this Penske. The jarring ride was suddenly compliant, and some throttle on bumpy curves wasnít life-threatening.

Note: I have this shock set to 332mm center-to-center length (ride height), vs the 326mm of the OEM unit. This is a perfect setting for improved turn-in response if you have the OEM link, but too long if you plan on using a Mori or a Kyle link. Interestingly, this 332 length puts the ride height at EXACTLY the same height as when using the Kyle link, because I just did back-to-back measurements from the Penske/OEM link to the Ohlins/Kyle link setups. My exhaust tip is exactly the same height from the ground with both setups. Anyway, adjust this shock's length accordingly.

The red mark on the preload collar is there so I could count the turns. Comes with the dirt that was on it when removedÖ.which isnít much. Itís lived its entire life protected by a hugger.

Don't let ME tempt you....this nice shock speaks for itself!

I figured that at 18K miles, it's due for a refresh. Am I right? I mean....any self-respecting RC motorcyclist would agree that a refresh is due. But last autumn in the NC twisties, all was well with my Piggy. Mind you, I'm not a superstar rider. I go as fast as I can, which puts me in the bottom 25% of fast riders. But, it's SO nice to have proper suspension, regardless of one's MotoGP proclivities. Again, my goal last December was to refresh the unit......until the Evil LDH whispered into my ear. Buy....buhyyyyy.........buuuuuyyyyyye-meeeeee.

Anyhoo, it's a darn nice upgrade from the crappola OEM. Plush. Supple. Conforming. It's kinda surprising, actually. You have no idea how bad the OEM shock is until you....toss it.

It's all boxed up and ready to ship to you. I don't skip on packaging science. Six years of engineering school taught me all about F=Ma. And foam peanuts.

Naaaaaaaahhh......good offer, but I don't really need anything from your vast Spring Cleaning hoard.

I thought I might need one of your instrument panels, but my speedo has come back to life. For now....

LOL. But I did my OWN Summer Cleaning last August when I gave a small pile of parts to James_03_rc to help with his rebuild. Now I'm down to an OEM shock, OEM exhaust (with no hangers cuz I sent my pass pegs to James), one good rotor and one fan. I don't need nuttin', fortunately.

Why don't you buy my Penske and add it to your hoard?
