New HRC Crankshaft

New HRC Crankshaft for sale. The crankshaft is still in the wooden box with the HRC label warning it is for racing use only.

I have spoken to Roger Ditchfield of Revolution as regards its new price and he informed me that the crank would have cost 3,200. From the label on the box it looks like it was either ordered or sold by Slingshot Racing in the UK.

The crank as it stands is surplus to my requirements as I don't race although I do have an SP1 track bike and an SP2 road bike. As Roger explained my SP1 is not sufficiently tuned to warrant putting the crank in the engine and I'm of an age where I don't want anymore power. I just enjoy the fantastic handing of the SP with the lovely torque from the engine.

So if anybody is interested in the crank please let me know I reckon it should be worth half its new price but I am open to offers. I am in the UK but will ship any where.

Cheers Chris.

Hmm. I wonder what the differences are over the standard crank? I had the oem crank in my bike sent to falicon for a bunch of work but this intrigues me.

I've replied to each of your PM's and will get some pictures on here tomorrow. Apologies to everyone for not replying earlier but I've been away the last couple of days and forgot my password.

Comparing this crank to a standard one. The main difference is the cranks webs have been machined to remove 6mm off the bottoms plus other finishing and machining work to lighten and balance it.

The other most noticeable difference is that there is no slot in the generator taper for the woodruff key.

Photographs of the HRC crankshaft against a standard crank for comparison. I also have a new needle roller bearing.

Thanks
