Stock Rear Shock

Looking for a CHEAP stock rear shock. Let me know if one is available.

It is for a SP2.

Will a SP1 work?

2001 SP1 (sold)
2004 SP2 (properly stored)
2012 Ruckus (stolen)
2015 Grom (under construction)

Weyrauch pronounced (Y Rock)...Rock for short.

SP1's shock will fit to bolt onto the mounts.
The only thing is the gas canister.
In the SP2 it comes sideways while in the SP1 come straight to the rear.
I think, apart from design, it was manufactured that way so it won't rub against the SP2 OEM undertray which is different from the SP1's
However I cannot confirm that through pictures I browse off the net.

The only think I strongly suspect, is due to the mud flap's different angle (where the bank angle relay is mounted on). After all the batteries are a bit different placed between these two models.

Thanks for the reply Makis!

Looks like I located a SP2 rear from a great guy, and he's local!

Thanks James!

Thanks a lot for your kind words, but I'll have to decline the credits for it.
What I wrote has been said before from senior RC51 gurus in this forum and at some point in the past I've read it like you did now.

So I'll take your compliment, attached mine to it and say a huge thank you to all those people sweating and typing all those years for us to find something useful to enrich our knowledge with.

Pop a cold one for them.

Slainte guys

It was good to finally meet you too brother. Hopefully the weather and time line will work in our favor and we can get in a ride before your orders.

Good luck with the "job"

James
