Sending unit needed!

Looking for a sending unit for a SP1 (2001). The diode went out so i drilled through it and hot wired the pump so i can ride it. My diode patch job held up for a while, but is starting to drip a drop or two every couple days. I need a new sending unit with or without the pump. Paypal is ready to go. If anyone can help me out i would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks!

I'm not quite following what you've done, I guess I'm lacking some detailed understanding.
What sending unit are you talking about?
I have a fuel pump assembly for sale, confirmed working. Will that help?

The little plastic square on the "pump assembly/sending unit" with the wires running to it is what went out on mine. That is the part i need. What are you asking for it? Thanks!

There are no diodes INSIDE the fuel pump ASSY

Perhaps you're talking about the fuel pump relay in the back, right behind the tail light?

There is a small square box on the pump assembly with two wires leading to it from the plug in for the fuel pump, which tells the pump to prime. (Which i thought is a diode) Mine went out, so i drilled through it and hot wired the pump for a quick fix to get back riding. Long story short, I need a fuel pump assembly, sending unit, whatever you want to call it. Jondog9 has the correct part pictured.

$125 + shipping, guessing about $20 - 25 with tracking and insurance..

I'm looking at my pump now, I'll take some pics of what I think you're talking about.

That brn/blk wire actually is the sending unit for the 'low fuel' light. It's White on the inside.
The solid brown - blue on the inside of the pump - is power for the pump.
