Good deal?

I have come across an 06 SP2 (black) for $8000+
with mods like
*Sato high mount exhaust
* upgraded intake with flapper valve removed
*hot bodies undertail,
*1/5 throttle upgrade
*Proton flush mount lights
* reed valve PAIR removal
*Power Commander.

You think this might be a good deal? From the picture the bike looks in good shape and has low miles (nearly 9k)

thanks a lot for your input.

Depends on your area. That is about 80% of retail for a bike that is 6 years old. At 6.5 or 7 it's not a bad deal, but for 8k? I would pass. You can find RC's all day for 5-6.

For what it is worth: There was a guy on speedzilla with an '04 that had 3400 miles, ohlins front and rear and sato cans and he couldn't sell it for quite a while. He wanted $8,000.

And that ohlins and sato package is one of the best upgrades you could do to a RC51.

That's a little high, it's how much value you put in the upgrades. I would pass it by for the moment. I just got off Ebay and was a little surprised to see RC51 prices in general are still coming down.

imo, the '06 is worth more like 6000 to 7000 with it's upgrades, and that rediculously low milage. That's about par for my area in Northern CA

Did you see prohunters 05? That looks like a hell of a good deal to me.

I think that's an exceptional deal. Maybe a combination of seller needed money badly, and your negotiationg skills.
