Unhappy Need brake master cylinder!

In need of a front brake master for a 2004 SP2. Almost crush my knuckles using the front brakes. Can't afford a new one for almost $200 or a Brembo for double that (although that would be awesome ) so I'm hoping someone here has a good one stuffed in a box somewhere. Can't believe the "full service" from the dealer I bought it at left so many problems. Help please!

Also some factory bar ends/grips would be awesome as mine were replaced with cheap not fitting plastic garbage. Thanks in advance!

Didn't even know about the rebuild kit. I'll try that out for sure. Best to have the dealer do the work or is it a fairly simple task?

Straight forward...if you've done it before. You can try it, taking apart is simple install is reverse.

You will need snap ring pliers and some patience. Do not stick anything in the cylinder bore that would scratch the smooth finish.

Lube with brake fluid only.

Good luck remember patience.

x2 on rebuild kit. Fairly simple IF you take your time and used proper tools. Truly beats dealer prices plus ridiculous labor charges.

Think of it this way: You can buy the rebuild kit and try it and if you fark it up you can buy a OEM one. The total is still less than the one you were quoted and especially less than either with labor...
