Adjustable or longer kickstand/sidestand

Hi all,

I am after a longer or adjustable for length Kickstand (sidestand in UK speak)

I was going to buy one from Scottsms but they want $150 to ship to the UK which is extraordinary as shipping is usually no more than $40.

What have you or do you know of any other manufacturers?

Cheers

J

Buy the stand from Scotts, ship it to me then buy something from me and we'll throw it in the box with our stuff

take your stock kickstand to a welder and have him add whatever length you need....cut off bottom tab and reweld it back once extension is in place. took my local welder a whole 15 minutes.

Yeah that is way too much for shipping that would easily fit in a medium flat rate box and I would never think weighs over 20lbs.

I think there's even a thread about it. I remember a few folks chiming in with good ideas to ensure a good alignment and fit.

I scribed a line from top to bottom and used a band saw and cut above the foot plate @ about 3/4" and added 3/4" of 1/2" round stock then welded and painted

I have the Scotts unit on my bike and it does really well since i have a Penske shock that added ride height.

I just need to get it anodized gold for my taste though...

Hey embee, I hadn't seen as much gold on a RC51 till I saw yours when we rode. I got the gold bug now too.
