Regardless if you own an SP1 or SP2, order the SP2 Turn One airbox.
The SP2 will fit both SP1 and SP2, while the SP1 airbox will only fit the SP1.

Also, the Turn One/Durbahn airbox will only work with the OEM fuel tank.
So if you have thoughts of installing an ETI fuel tank, it will not work with the Turn One/Durbahn airbox.

Costs about $300 CAN.

Like the Moriwaki airbox, it will work with OEM or aftermarket fuel tanks, but requires removal of the thermostat.
Also the air filtration system is mounted in the front of the snorkel and not inside the airbox (also similar to the Moriwaki airbox)

I guess I need to spend more time here reading... just got a pm saying he got no gains after installing one... I got a stock motor so it sounds like its a waste of money??

Someone want to clarify if its worth it?
Thanks

Hi Ed...I would sugesst you do the "free" mods first ( PAIR / Breather Mod ), and then if a CF Box is really what you want then by all means. Might I ask what is it you are trying to accomplish ? Power / Speed ?

Had I known that I would not see any gains after doing mine, I would have saved my money and spent it other places on my RC - Maybe a Ohlin rear or fronts...

2001 SP1 - Code Name F-Bomb - PCIII USB / D&D High Mount System / 42T / EK SRX 530X / CRG Levers / K&N Filters / Stomp Grip / Rev Limiter Mod / Flapper Mod / PAIR Mod / Undertail / Hugger / 6K HID Lights / Speigler lines / Wave Rotors / CF Airbox / Shorai Battery - More to come, as soon as my slush fund get's more "Slushy" !

From what I've read on other post, ( correct me if I'm wrong) you motor needs to be tricked out before you see any real gains with an air box. I think there is info on here in some historic threads or was it speedzilla? I can't recall. That moriwaki box is the way to go if really want the endurance tank too. The real gains from an airbox mod is real just the ounces and bling factor IMO...

Unfortunately, the main problem is that one must really take the time to fully qualify or quantify the results between various components.

So the truth of what exhaust system works well with OEM or aftermarket airboxes or anything, is all guess work.

Since engines are part of a system, any single component must work together with surrounding components to complement each other.

Like members of the orchestra working together or against each other.
