Good lord my ex would have kicked me in the nads if I put my kid in that situation without gear and a lid. I hope the little guy is OK...

1) Put the dog on a leash and out of the kid's picture....
2) Use a remote controlled kill switch or use a piece of stick above the carburetor's slide so that it cannot go to wide open position. Just a bit up from idle
3) Gear the kid up you f***face

A couple of seconds before the lay down, the mini bike is gradually outrunning Dad and accelerating.
If the kid hadn't layed it down in the grass and had steered it towards the clearing, he could easily take a fall on 40+ mph....what would have happened then with no helmet on?
