Thumbs up Well, I went ahead and did it (Stars & Stripes)

While moving to Texas, the moving van company decided to squeeze my 2004 Nicky Hayden RC51 up against the side of the truck. They cracked my upper, side, and tail fairings. Damage claim underway! With all due respect to Nicky Hayden (and my 04' Hayden RC), I decided to go with something different since I would need new fairings and paint job (all covered by claim).

I have always liked the Colin Edwards "Texas Tornado" Stars & Stripes scheme. So, I pulled the trigger on this and had it done by a local guy who did a FANTASTIC job. I'm very happy with this, and overwhelmed by the awesome job he did. He even airbrushed my USMC insignia on the rear tire hugger.

How many Stars & Stripes fans do we have out there??

If anybody is interested in a high quality paintjob on their bike, I highly recommend this guy (in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area). PM me, and I'll give you his info. One helluva nice guy.

Yea, he even painted my side mirrors, clutch cover, throttle/brake clamp brackets, triple tree in gloss black for free. Came out looking like a new bike. Have a lot of people turning their heads at the stoplights. Dudes try to get my attention and talk to me at the intersection, but I can't hear a dam thing over those pipes. (MotoGP race pipes) louder than shit... haha

I was so busy admiring the paint job I didn't even notice the pipes at first. Again beautiful bike, best of luck with it.

You turned your Nicky into an Edwards.
How ironic is that?
Now you need a Colin Edwards helmet.

Looks divine! Nice touch on the mirrors too.

Awesome. I fell in love with the sp1 in part because of this paint scheme. I found a place that sells the plastic done. But the wife likes the original.
