I know that this clearly puts me in the minority but I have been an Edwards fan for well over a decade. Nicky was a great rider (still is) but he never did it for me personally. Hard to explain, but I never really "clicked" with him. Similar to Lorenzo and Pedrosa versus Rossi and Marquez. You feel a bond with some of them. Watching Edwards race, and then listening to him afterward really sold me on him. So much so that I ride with the Edwards Arai lid and purchased a new one when Nathan put them on sale a few months ago.

Here's a video of the end of that race.
I got hooked. Had to watch the whole thing! I wish Edwards could have held on to the lead. He was strong for a while. What happened? tires?

I did this backwards. Sorry. There's a piece of the race missing between the end of English version and the beginning of the ?Italian? version. No spoiler if you've never seen it, but it's definitely worth watching.

Part 2

Don't know how to explain it, but Colin races with so much heart. When he was out front, he was gone. I remember one race he had in motogp at i think assen. It was amazing. He was in 2nd at the start of the final lap and 4 seconds down. He closed the gap, got out front, but crashed out at the last turn. I think he picked the bike up and walked it across.

He about did the same that year in laguna with the yellow/black special paint. He came back but fried his tires but still got around rossi. It pains me to watch him suffer back in the grid. I wohld think he has made enough money to jot have to suffer the humiliation of averaging 17th
