New member..new owner

Hello there! I just joined up after lurking in here for a month or so. I'm new to the RC world having just purched my first a month and half ago. Well I just took her out for the first time ever today....OMG!! I have been in love with this bike for many years now, and now to finally own one, I have have died and gone to twin heaven.
I purchased a 2004 Nickey Hayden edition, bone stock for now. I plan on getting Yoshimura RS3's, Power Commander, fender eliminator, and what ever else sparks my interest.
That ride today blew me away! My last bike that I traded in on this was a '96 Kawasaki ninja ZX7-R. It was a fast bike and I loved it to death..but I was in need to upgrade and this RC showed up so I jumped on it. I'm so glad I did. It's going to take a quite awhile to get used to this beast!
Sorry for being so long winded....just soooo happy to be part of this family...finally!!!

It's called gushing And it's a common and well recognized phenomena in this forum

I had to grin from ear to ear reading your post. Ditto, for my first ride on my RC after months of fixing it up. Couple thought's: yosh's are on sale now online, seen rs-3's for $539 shipped. Check our classifieds, Ick has exhaust for sale. And NoriHaga41 may still have his yosh's for sale. I think they were rs-3's. Also, check out our members: Mrgrn, and RC51parts.com. Mrgrn can make any kind of exhaust you can think off and he has tons of pix on his site. www.blackdragonexhaust.net
And I've dealt with Ben from www.RC51parts.com Very prompt and professional.
But get a Power Commander first, imo. Just the natural order of things.
jeez, i think i'm gushing

Welcome to the forum!

Hey, thanks for all the warm welcome's. I'm so ecited for the warm weather to really get here so I can get to know this bad boy! So I was looking at the PC...is it easy to install? The directions seem fairly straight forward..but you know how those can be. Also was wondering, are the Yoshi's a good pipe for this bike...I'm lean on cash so as much as I would like some Sato's or Akro's..I just can't afford them

By the way...I'm still grinning from my first ride the other day!

I cant speak for performance cause many other members have had way more experience with running the different exhausts. But from what I've read and researched, they're in the top of the middle-class exhausts. But I have heard them on the RC51 and on my buddy's 954. They sound great to me. real deep and pretty crisp.
I'm going to keep riding my RC in its stock form. I already have a used pcIIIr on my shelf, and waiting till I get the exhaust I want (and can afford), then I'll install them together, and take a couple hundred bucks to a dyno-tuner. I haven't looked into it yet, but Kyle Racing is just 3 hrs. drive from me
