New RC51 owner from DC

hey guys,

i just joined your ranks as the proud owner of an SP2 piggy last weekend. i've been riding inline 4s for many years but started getting the lust for the chest-punch of a superbike twin recently. It was TLR vs RC and though I'm a longtime suzuki rider, the Tiller never stood a chance. Love the lines and the look of the RC, coupled with the reliability and rigidity factor.

I picked her up last weekend, but had my kids all week. So I did the only logical thing... called the babysitter over on Tuesday night and snuck in a 2 hour nighttime ride.

I was amazed at how low the gearing was, I rarely made it out of 2nd gear! (not sure i'll ever get into 6th gear, unless i'm doing triple digits on the highway!) The low end torque really made me feel like a much smoother, calmer rider. Instead of winding the RPMS into the 10s to get power, I could chill and focus on riding The Pace.

LOVE the sound of that big twin. Also digging the occasional dual flame that shoots out of the pipes And JESUS, you guys weren't kidding about the heat that comes out from behind the fairings... i definitely lowered my sperm count. (never a bad thing)

Not too many mods on this one, MIG pipes, PCIII, HID, integrated LED tail.

Headed out to the mountains this weekend to put some real miles on her and I'll get some more pix too
