hello everybody!

hi guys and gurls.
nice site you have here! I just about to buy a rc51,2005.sp2
black,a us import to new zealand where im from.
ive been looking for a goodie for about a year now,once i finshed mx,
i brought a 01 R1 and must say,i do like it! BUT its not what i want!
i got it because it was cheeper than the sp2s in nz,as only about 6 were sold new in nz.rest ar imports,so im told.
any way il try and add a pix of this huni!
p.s cant wait to ride a bike with a big thump !

THX Stig! yea im sitting at work thinking about it right now,dont get me wrong,i like my r1,hit halls! corners and stops,
how would you compear them? speed ,braking eq..? sp2 ,05 v r1 01.???
its 4.5k to change,

Never had an R1, but I did have a 954RR2 before. Didn't like it much. Fast bike, handled OK, but sounded like a sowing machine by comparison. It was a commuting and occasional country road fun tool, but I didn't wash or care for it much. When I treat a bike or car like that it's because I'm not emotionally attached to it.

Saw my SP2, bought it and sold the CBR. The very first time I rode it, it felt special by comparison. Since then I've improved it steadily and have never looked back.
