Another one from Greece.

Hi guys, John here.

Honda and HRC freak in particular, mainly a 2 stroke guy, but I always had a soft spot for the RC45 and the SP1.

Two months ago I got my beloved SP1 and I it is certainly a keeper. Previous owner(s) has kept it in excellent condition, and my plan is to go up from there.

I live in a small town, a few miles from Makis and I ride mainly mountain B roads

I ll add a photo when my post count goes above 10.

Peace

John

Thanks Makis.

It looks that we are heading that way. I know there are at least 10 more SPs in Greece that have no internet presence.

Thanks. It's good to have a fellow Honda V2er nearby, when swimming in a sea of IL4s

Welcome. Makis is a good person to know when you have an RC51. You guys should make sure you meet sometime.

I like 2 strokes too... Aside from a couple of other bikes, I currently have an itch that won't go away for an NSR250 MC21... I think it's gotta be scratched.

Euro RC51 SP2: HRC WSB Ti Hi-Level, T1 Airbox & Snorkel, PCIII, Dymag CA5 Carbon Wheels, Ti64 Spindles (F, R & Swing Arm), Mori Link, Maxton GP7 Shock & Ohlins 832 Forks, Brembo GP Calipers & SBK narrow track (F), Braketech Disc (R), Brembo billet Underslung x 2 Brembo RCS, Tyga Triple, 7075 Stem, Probolt Titanium all over, Babyface rearsets, MR Complete Carbon Lineup, Custom Undertail & CBR 1000 LED, Watsen LED Indicators, Harris Brace, Giles clip-ons, Corbin seat, etc. 2013 BOTY.

Yeah I ll meet Makis eventually I guess.

I have 2 MC21s , 3 MC18s and an NF5 on various stages of deterioration and many more NSRs in parts, I hope I ll start my MC21 rebuild this winter.

As a long time NSR250 rider I am telling you, you have got to own this bike, you ll never look back. Think VTR SP handling wise, but much more lighter and crisper. According to the forum you live in Japan which is the only country that allows for an "easy" NSR rebuild. Bikes and parts are still everywhere for the 21 and 28. If you ever go that way, send me a PM, I know the right guys in Japan for parts and the engine rebuild.

Prices are on the up too, time to strike is now

Thanks John,

I may well ask you for information, once I have mine. I particularly want an MC21, as the double sided arm is lighter than the pro-arm and they're easier to de-restrict, but aside from that I don't know a lot about them - yet.

I'm in the process of rebuilding a TDR250, or rather - modernising completely. There's a thread here about it. Once it's done in perhaps spring, it should be something special. Then it'll be the MC21's turn to have lots of fettling... not sure about tuning yet though. It will be tempting of course...

Will keep you posted.
