New guy

Email said come here, so I shall please the interwebz god

I'm not new to bikes, owned a few in the past. Just picked up my first #2 Dream Bike 02 RVT1000R Rc51 . #1 is a Ducati 916, but I don't make Ducati Money

The RC has seen better days, So I'm taking the pretty woman off the streets and taking her, well making her pretty again.

I've always loved the sound of the RC-51 and Finally got to ride one. I was amazed on how much torque she had when I hopped on her and took her for a spin. My first V-Twin. So I'm totally in love.

She is stock, other than the PC5 i just put in her. she has Yoshi pipes which I'll get rid of after this winter. I've always been a 2-Bros fan boy.

She goes into the shop to figure out this ticking I hear at high RPM. Original owner polished the frame.. I'm not a shine kinda guy, so it going to get a clean coat of Texture powder coating and new paint sometime in a month or so.

For now I'm just enjoying what she can give me. Maybe I'll show some pics later. we can cry together and Smile when she is all better.

Cheers!

Congrats and enjoy the bike. Hope the fixes are minor and cheap. If it needs a lot to get it where you want it, another used version is often cheaper than fixing these things.

Cheers

Good stuff. I'm too OCD and have spent lots to get my bike to where I want it. I'd have saved money if I would have spent the extra up front to import a mint bike. But I'm OCD

The good thing about reviving a bike back to life is that you can make it your own. Im the same way and used to rip them apart right away to start the rebuild.. Problem was I always missed the riding season. So she is rough on the right side for now. But plans to make her "mine" are slowly underway So many RC's out there. Its time for this one to be different without changing the whole scheme of the RVT
